In the early 80’s, Sandy and John Peterson became interested in antique restorations. They spent their weekends as swap meet warriors looking for unusual and unique treasures. They had so much fun anticipating what they would find each weekend. John enjoyed refurbishing old items and bringing life back to them. He couldn’t wait to come home from his day job to start working on their great finds. He was totally consumed with his new hobby. After a few years, they decided to quit their jobs and open an antique store. In 1985, Just For Fun opened its doors in Whittier, California.
